Wood Glen Retirement Village
The luxurious Wood Glen Retirement Village is located among the bushland of Erina on the NSW Central Coast. The development comprised 92 independent living units and 58 apartment style units in close proximity to Erina Fair and the Erina CBD. The development also included a Community Centre, gym, swimming pool and bowling green.
ADW Johnson are proud to have provided engineering design, survey, project management and construction supervision services throughout the life of the project.
Engineering
- Preparation of concept engineering drawings to support the development application;
- Civil engineering design for villas and apartments and associated earthworks (benching and retaining);
- Road network design including driveway entries to apartment buildings, visitor parking and fire trails;
- Stormwater design including the provision of two underground stormwater detention tanks with a total storage of approximately 1000 m3;
- Sewer reticulation; and
- Half road construction of Karalta road including stormwater works.
Project Management
- Working with the architects and client to Masterplan the development to obtain the best solution for the layout and associated infrastructure;
- Preparation of pre-tender estimates of cost for engineering works;
- Preparation of Civil tender documentation;
- Review and respond to RFIs and tender clarifications throughout the tender period;
- Liaise with PCA for approval of internal civil works;
- Liaise with council for approval of Karalta Road works;
- Coordination of subconsultant designs including hydraulics, electrical, communications, landscape and built form; and
- Respond to RFI’s from contractors for various components of construction.
Surveying
- Detail survey and service location;
- Cadastral survey including boundary realignment; and
- Works as Executed survey.
Construction supervision
- Construction supervision of civil works over two stages and four separable portions.
