ADW Johnson’s team of surveyors, town planners and engineers have extensive experience in public sector work and are routinely engaged to undertake work on a wide range of projects for government and semi-government organisations. Our clients include local Councils, the State and Federal Governments, Hunter Water, Energy Australia, Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) and the Department of Housing.

ADW Johnson’s survey team specialises in topographical, route and lease surveys; asset location and definition; construction set out; boundary identification; and title and easement investigation for infrastructure projects such as waste water pumping stations, water and sewer mains, road and intersection construction and electricity lines. In addition, ADW Johnson have also been engaged by local Councils for specialist work such as flood modeling and 3D visualisation to determine and predict flood extents for use in land use zoning, flood policy preparation and evacuation and rescue strategies.

Likewise, the planners at ADW Johnson have substantial experience in government projects, including master planning; preparation of LEP’s, policies and development strategies; feasibility studies; preparation and review of Section 94 plans; and the provision of technical advice. In addition, our planning team has extensive experience as council planners, which has enabled them to be engaged by councils for the assessment and/or third party review of a range of development applications; the review and assessment of public submissions; reviews of environmental factors (REF’s); and to act as an expert witness in the Land and Environment Court.

ADW Johnson’s team of engineers also undertake a wide variety of work for councils and other government and semi-government authorities such as Hunter Water and the RMS. This work includes trunk and internal stormwater design; water and sewer reticulation; intersection design and traffic impact assessments; water and waste water servicing strategies; trunk sewer reticulation; assessment of existing sewer and water infrastructure; and the design of wastewater pumping station and rising mains. In addition, our engineers act as Project Managers on behalf of these authorities to oversee and manage the design, tender and construction process of infrastructure projects.
