Town Planning

Working closely with the owners, Norman and Beth Hunter, and Johnson Projects, we’ve been able to update the original development plans for the Avoca Beach Theatre to better fit the needs of the community while preserving the historic character of the theatre.

The project involved making several key improvements, including internal modifications and redesigning the exterior to enhance connections between the cinema and the adjoining public areas such as Hunter Park. A crucial aspect of the work was ensuring that the historic theatre building remains a part of the new development.

Our role included navigating the new Central Coast LEP, addressing the initial consent requirements, and working with Central Coast Council to address issues related to visual impact, flooding, and traffic. We’re pleased to report that our efforts received strong support from the Local Planning Panel which approved the updated plans.
