Compulsory Registration Scheme for Engineers Under New Design & Building Practitioners Bill
The NSW Parliament recently passed new legislation introducing a compulsory registration scheme for professional engineers. ADW Johnson welcomes these new requirements to ensure high standards across the industry.
The registration requirements under the ‘Design and Building Practitioners’ Bill are expected to become operational in July 2021. Whilst details of the requirements are yet to be released, ADW Johnson is well-placed to continue business as usual with a number of senior engineering staff already on Engineers Australia’s National Engineering Register as Chartered Professional Engineers.
