Helicopters Coming to Land at Trinity Point
Exciting news for Trinity Point - Johnson Property Group have successfully appealed to the Land & Environment Court for the construction of a Helipad at Trinity Point Marina! ADW Johnson's team of expert planners supported JPG through the concept plan modification, EIS applications and appeals to achieve this outcome.
The inclusion of the Helipad at the waterfront location on Lake Macquarie will enable direct transport from surrounding airports (including Sydney International) for visitors to the Marina and Tourist Facility, and will contribute to Lake Macquarie being on the map for charters and visitors that might otherwise not visit the city by car, thereby improving linkages inside and outside the region. Whilst this aspect of the project has been somewhat controversial for local residents and boating groups, stringent adherence to operational conditions agreed to by JPG will manage impacts.
The Helipad is expected to be operational within six months. After a delicious meal at 8 At Trinity and a day on the Lake, patrons of the Marina can finally say... "Get bahk to da Choppah!"
