Glengara Retirement Village
Glengara Retirement Village is a premium retirement village comprising 315 independent living units, 70 aged-care units and a Country Club. ADW Johnson provided survey work, project management and civil engineering design throughout the 20 stages of the development.
Engineering
- Preparation of concept engineering drawings to support the development application;
- Civil engineering design for villas and aged care facility and associated earthworks (benching and retaining);
- Road network design including visitor parking and fire trails;
- Stormwater design for both minor and major flows; and
- Flood studies for existing channels through the site including the design of channel upgrades.
- Sewer reticulation.
Project Management
- Preparation of pre-tender estimates of cost for engineering works;
- Liaise with PCA for approval of internal civil works;
- Obtain Controlled Activity Approval from Office of Water for channel upgrade works;
- Working with the architects and client to Masterplan the development to obtain the best solution for the layout and associated infrastructure; and
- Respond to RFI’s from contractors for various components of construction.
Surveying
- Detail survey and service location over the entire development;
- Construction setout survey;
- Identification survey of building works; and
- Works as Executed survey.
