Concept and Visioning

We work with our clients to establish project visions to lead to success of the planning phase of a development project. Our urban design team understand spatial scale, constructability, and trend-setting concepts to establish meaningful communities from the start.

We provide concepts and visions for development at the metropolitan, regional, local, neighbourhood, and site scale.

Structure Planning

Structure planning establishes the objectives and principles of the development of place. We present these concepts graphically and develop them through consultation with stakeholders. Along with sustainable development, we are conscious of the need to integrate and deliver supporting infrastructure at our structure planning phase so that they are considered before detailed design is undertaken.

Master Planning

We set the framework for built form and spaces using our experience in a broad range of development types. Large scale developments require consideration of infrastructure and staging to ensure that future development is coordinated for a successful outcome.

Our master planning of greenfield and infill development is for various stages of approval including rezoning and concept plan development applications. Our master plans are underpinned by infrastructure identification and costing.

Building Envelopes, Modelling, and Design Guidelines

Our team establishes building envelopes for capacity studies, visualisation, and development scenarios. We evaluate building envelopes by considering the work by design professionals to ensure that they are deliverable.

Additionally, we prepare design guidelines to guide development. We draft the objectives, controls, and supporting graphics that can be used by developers or authorities to ensure the intent of masterplans or concept design are fulfilled in each project phase.

Visual Impact Assessment

Visualisation of development and its impact is often difficult to comprehend. Our Urban Design experts make it easy by providing Visual Impact Assessment reports which clearly summarise key areas affected by a proposal, impacts on surrounding views, and mitigation of impact measures.

Data Analysis and Mapping

Our team has provided graphical support to numerous NSW Government agencies for metropolitan, regional, and local government area scale projects. We understand production processes and support teams with technical analysis, mapping outputs as well as data presentation and illustrative graphic production.

Contextualising and positioning a site involve a response to context. We develop parameters for a site to respond to the existing and anticipated future context. We work with our client teams to design and assess buildings and spaces with the established parameters and desired character.
